Sport has always played an important role in my life. At university, I discovered a passion for rowing, but sadly, a prolapsed disc and two back surgeries stopped me in my tracks. Since then, I have successfully managed my back condition by staying active and prioritising my health. In my twenties, I gravitated towards cardio classes—spin, step, anything that kept me moving. After having two children, I focused on losing my pregnancy weight to regain fitness and maintain my back’s stability. Even then, I recognised the importance of strength training, so I joined a gym and started weightlifting. With the guidance of a  personal trainer, I learned proper form and progressed by gradually increasing the weights I used. This was a turning point: I gained confidence, discovered a love for lifting, and developed strength.Today, I’m a qualified personal trainer, passionate about helping others build strength and confidence through fitness. I specialise in supporting women through pre- and postnatal fitness, as well as navigating the challenges of menopause. My ethos is simple: fitness should enhance everyday life, focusing on energy and strength rather than solely aesthetic goals.I’m grateful to have found a balanced approach to exercise and nutrition that makes me feel strong, healthy, and empowered. As Dr. Mary Claire Heaver says: "Strong over skinny. Nutrition over calories." I’m excited to support others on their journey towards positive change.
